The event had representatives of competent institutions, the academic community and international partners, gathered with the aim of solving the disruption and shortage of wood pellets on the domestic market.

It was concluded that it is necessary to ensure a long-term and sustainable solution through a better balancing of production and raw material capacities, adaptation of the legislative framework and more active involvement of the Administration for Commodity Supplies, with coordination with competent authorities and continuous promotion of the RES program.

Socio-ecological sustainability was also mentioned as a necessity, and FSC plays its role in this by long-term certification of 74% of the area of Croatian forests.

"Participation in this event enabled direct dialogue with key actors in the sector at a time when market challenges are particularly pronounced. Through its certification system, FSC can contribute to market stability and strengthening trust in sustainable supply chains", says Nermin Hadžić, representative of FSC Adria Balkans.
